Follow these tips to store your SURRON bike optimally.

storage Batteries for SURRON bikes: Safe through the winter

If your bike is stored in a frost-free location, you can store the battery in the bike. However, if your bike is stored outdoors where frost is possible, it's advisable to remove the battery and store it in a frost-free place. Extreme temperatures, especially cold, can impair the battery's performance. A dry, cool room, such as a basement or garage, is ideal for battery storage.

Battery charge level: The optimal balance

The battery should always be stored with a charge level of approximately 50 to 70 percent, as the integrated BMS (Battery Management System) is constantly active and monitors the cells. Therefore, the battery continuously loses charge. A fully charged or fully discharged battery can be damaged over time. If the battery is stored fully charged for an extended period, the cells can age more quickly and the battery can lose capacity. If the battery reaches zero percent for an extended period during storage, it can be irreparably damaged. We recommend checking the battery's charge level at least once a month. If the charge level drops below 50 percent, recharge it to approximately 70 percent.

Clean into the break: Preparing the bike for storage

Before storing your bike, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and drying it. Dirt and moisture can cause corrosion and other damage. Clean and dry storage helps keep your bike in top condition.
